Retro vibe with aggressive design! Italian designer Oberdan Bezzi has introduced a successful Bavarian adventure-touring rendering of the BMW R 1250 GS motorcycle.
It is more aggressive with a sporty short beak, it still keeps the continuity and the family resemblance of the GS line, new but with evolution and not revolution. I totally dig the BMW retro race scheme; it pays tribute to the Paris Dakar Rally racers of years past but still looks fresh and up-to-date.
BMW R1250 GS Oberdan Bezzi Design
Updated design elements I like are the black frames, forks, and rims. The flush pylon passenger seat makes it easer to haul luggage. A functional addition is the BMW GS Adventure stainless steal luggage rack instead of the current plastic rack. The upgrade to a larger windscreen with metal bracket for better wind buffeting. And the centered exhaust is an excellent idea, this will allow for the side panniers to have a less of a profile. The front fender looks cool but will it do anything? I hope BMW Motorrad is paying attention; this rendering by Oberdan Bezzi takes the bike to the next level, and is on par with the BMW F800’s cool styling, and color schemes. www.motosketches.blogspot.com
